DC Engine Pump

The Dayliff DC range of self-priming engine pumps offers a fully portable design, making them versatile for various applications. Here areĀ  applications where the Dayliff DC pumps can be used:

1. Irrigation: The DC pumps are suitable for irrigation purposes, whether it's in agricultural fields, gardens, or landscaping projects. They can efficiently pump water from a water source, such as a river, lake, or reservoir, to deliver it to the irrigation system, ensuring proper hydration of crops, lawns, or plants.

2. Dewatering: These pumps are ideal for dewatering applications, where water needs to be removed from an area, such as construction sites, basements, or flooded areas. They can effectively pump out water, allowing for the drying of spaces and preventing water damage.

3. General Pumping Duties: The DC pumps can be used for various general pumping duties, such as transferring water from one location to another. This can include applications like filling or emptying tanks, ponds, or swimming pools, providing water supply for remote locations, or assisting in emergency water supply situations.

4. Water Transfer in Remote Areas: The portable design of the DC pumps makes them suitable for water transfer in remote areas, where access to a reliable water supply may be limited. They can be used to pump water from natural sources, such as rivers or lakes, to storage tanks or distribution points in rural communities or remote campsites.

5. Emergency Water Supply: The DC pumps can play a crucial role in emergency water supply situations, such as during natural disasters or temporary water shortages. They can be used to quickly mobilize and distribute water to affected areas, providing essential water for drinking, sanitation, or firefighting purposes.

The DC pumps feature open impellers, making them suitable for pumping lightly silted water. The sturdy carrying and protection frame ensures easy transportation and protection during operation. The inclusion of quick couple hose connectors and suction strainers simplifies the setup and ensures efficient water intake.

It's important to note that the maximum suction capability of 8m at sea level may be reduced at higher altitudes due to atmospheric pressure changes. Additionally, the ECONO models within the DC range are recommended for lighter duties and shorter operating periods.

When using the Dayliff DC pumps, it's crucial to consider factors such as the required flow rate, lift height, and the nature of the pumped water. Regular maintenance, including cleaning and inspection of the pump components, will ensure optimal performance and longevity of the pumps.

ENGINE
Two engine options are available as follows:-

Petrol
Proprietary air cooled, 4-stroke OHV single cylinder with transistorised ignition and oil alert.

Diesel
A high efficiency direct injection air cooled diesel engine.

Note that performance curves for all engines relate to the engine governor set at maximum speed of 3600rpm to achieve maximum rated power output. To prolong engine life pumps should only be run under maximum power conditions for short periods and for extended duty the throttle setting should be reduced to approximately three-quarters power. Pump performance will then be reduced accordingly.
